The Gospel group Heavenly Hopes one of the Pioneers of Black gospel in the UK are featured in my book. They were active between the late 1960's to the mid 70's and were based in Battersea South London. They appeared on TV show Opportunity Knocks which was the equivalent of today's X-factor which was quite an achievement at the time for that genre of music.

I recievd a phone call from lead singer Jean Williams (Now Pastor Jean McKay) who now lives in Canada. She obtained a copy of my book when someone handed it to her as a gift whilst on business in Jamaica.

Jean still sings and was delighted and excited that the memory of her group still lives on in this book. I am impressed that the book found its way to Jamaica which I hope will be an area where I can gain increased readership.

Seems that British Black Gospel is travelling well!!!
